ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Hai Ying Wu's sculpture, developed for Hockinson High School, is surrounded with three stainless steel forms representing Science, English, and Technology.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Hockinson School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Artist Hai-Ying Wu creates figurative sculptures for public spaces. Born in China, he attended Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and worked as a sculptor creating public artworks in Chengdu, capital of the Sichuan province. Emigrating to the United States, he recieved his MFA in sculpture from the University of Washington, and has created well known memorials around the Pacific Northwest.
