Breathing Lessons, 2004

Ellen Sollod
(American, born 1951)

Location: South Seattle College

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

When entering Olympic Hall from the outside world of South Seattle College's parking lot, Ellen Sollod's artwork 'Breathing Lessons' pulses a string of words related to taking in information. When entering from the campus, the words, which turn on and off at the rate of inhaling and exhaling, encourage students to act on their knowledge.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with South Seattle Community College.
