ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Anne Storrs created eight building blocks representing the curriculum of each grade at Gregory Heights Elementary. Each block includes a bronze sculpture on top and ceramic tile mosaics on the sides.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Highline School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Portland, Oregon-based artist Anne Storrs creates sculptures inspired by natural forms, and they often involve pattern and repetition. Her work includes small ceramic pieces as well as large-scale installations in metal, concrete, and stone.
