ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Sculptor John Hoge's interests in the innate characteristics of stone are visible in "Figure with Companions." Hoge uses the naturally-occurring shapes of columnar basalt to craft an artwork that suggests figurative forms.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Central Washington University.
