ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Stuart Nakamura's "The Textures of Memory" was inspired by the mountains, hills, and history of wild horses in the Columbia Basin.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Richland School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Artist Stuart Nakamura creates sculptural, site-specific artworks inspired by the cultural history, location and character of each setting. He received a BFA in painting and Fine Arts from California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He lives and works in Seattle, Washington.
