ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Sonja Blomdahl's "Join Together" is a four-part artwork comprised of her signature glass rondelles—bowls spun out flat—designed to be viewed as bright moments of color both separately and when overlapping each other.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bethel School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Seattle-based glass artist Sonja Blomdahl creates contemporary fine art objects using a traditional Venetian glass blowing technique in which multiple glass elements are fused together.
