ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Ann Gardner's "Loop" celebrates the way users of Clark College's campus are connected: students to teachers, teachers to administrators, and each of them to the broader Vancouver, Washington community. The mosaic tiles Gardner chose bring the outside in with colors of water, plants, and light.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Clark College.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Seattle-based artist Ann Gardner creates sculptures using glass and mosaic materials. Her works explore pattern and rhythm in organic forms. She studied ceramics and fine art at the University of Oregon and Portland State University.
