Location: City of Connell

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Tom Otterness' series "Wild Life"—six bronze sculptural groups—invites passersby to join its figures at tables and benches along rural Connell, Washington's (population just over 5,000) main streets. "Post Office" depicts a coyote that has ordered a mouse in the mail, a quail and her kids opening a letter full of seeds, a small woman sending a letter full of kids, a hopeful frog prince sending a letter to a princess, and a little man sending a letter to his mom.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Corrections and City of Connell.
