Jaune Quick-to-See Smith

Celebrated Native American painter Jaune Quick-to-see Smith draws connections between traditional art techniques and formal modernism. She was raised on the Flathead Nation in Montana. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Framingham State College in Massachusetts and a Master of Arts in Art from the University of New Mexico. Her artworks are represented in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C., the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, and the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City.
