Los Angeles-based artist and muralist Barbara Carrasco creates striking paintings, murals and prints that reflect her Chicana heritage and explore themes of social justice. She created many images supporting the United Farm Workers.
Barbara Carrasco received her BFA from the University of California Los Angeles and her MFA from California Institute of the Arts. She has been the recipient of grants from the Andy Warhol Foundation/National Endowment for the Arts, the J. Paul Getty fund, and the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department.
