Los Angeles-based artist and muralist Barbara Carrasco creates striking paintings, murals and prints that reflect her Chicana heritage and explore themes of social justice. She creates many images supporting the United Farm Workers.
Barbara Carrasco received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her Master of Fine Arts degree from California Institute of the Arts. She received grants from the Andy Warhol Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, the J. Paul Getty fund, and the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department.
