Ghost Trees, 1984

Laura Sindell
(American, born 1947)

Location: Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Kirkland

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artist Laura Sindell's sculpture Ghost Trees honors those removed to make way for construction and evokes the concepts of regeneration, growth, and support. Repeated words wrap the trunks, calling to mind a memory song, but in this case, of biological terms.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Lake Washington Technical College.
