ABOUT THE ARTWORK

After a 3,000 mile excursion over a 2 ½ year period, artist Nance Bracken created this artwork as part of an eight-piece set, featuring the regions of Washington State. Each part includes an etched and hand-painted map of the area and imagery of its key features interpreted by the artist.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Snohomish School District.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Nance Bracken is an Ellensburg-based painter and printmaker, whose work focuses on portraying intricate natural landscapes. She received her Masters of Arts from Central Washington University.
